Climbing.
For people who like to have their head in the clouds but their feet on the ground! La Chapelle and Chatel both offer many rock climbing and Via Ferrata walls. Another viewpoint of this fantastic place.
The 'Plaine Dranse' climbing site has 26 routes from 5-10m; The Essert waterfall has 2 routes down - semi wet and wet, each with 6 abseils of 30-50m; The 'Pas de Morgins' site has 50 routes from 10-40m high at grades of 3-7 plus one alpine route (introduction to Via Ferrata).
The Via Ferrata of Saix des Miolenes is in La Chapelle. It is a very steep exposed rockface. It follows a pretty rocky route of ledges, corners and overhangs. It has 3 sections of ability. all with the option to use chains.
