Duplex Alpine Holidays

Our garden apartment is situated on the lower floor of a larger chalet building located just off the main road running through the village of Les Houches.

Les Houches is in the Chamonix Valley, just 6km from Chamonix itself. The centre of the village lies at the foot of Mont Blanc (4810m altitude). It sits at 1000m altitude in the valley with the Dome du Gouter and Mont Blanc on the East side and the Aiguilles Rouges opposite.

It is a charming family friendly resort, bustling with both locals and tourists year round. As well as providing all the modern requirements needed in a tourist resort, the village retains it's charm with small hamlets, chapels and farms.

As well as being only a short drive, bus or train journey to the heart of Chamonix and it's ski slopes, the cable car up to the Aiguille de Midi, Mont Blanc and the mountain train to the Mer de Glace, Les Houches has it's own ski area, with two telecabine lifts at base level and a nursery slope area, 7 chair-lifts and 6 drag-lifts reaching 4 green pistes, 6 blues, 12 reds and 2 black runs.

Our apartment is in the heart of Les Houches.

It sleeps 4 adults and 2 children.

Just a stone's throw away is a selection of French and English restaurants, a creperie, a pizza restaurant, even an indian restaurant, a bank and cash machine, a post office, the office de Tourisme, local mountain museum and Carrefour supermarket.

It is only a few minutes walk to the 'Bellevue' cable car and the local nursery slope, and about 20 mins to the 'Prarion' cable-car.

The bus stop is just outside to go to either the Prarion lift direction or Chamonix.

The train station, with trains from Vallorcine, Chamonix and St Gervais is about 10 minutes walk away.

We will welcome you into the apartment, and be on hand to help you in any way during your stay.

Before you arrive, we can help organise your airport transfer, ski hire, ski lift passes, ski/snowboard instruction and any additional catering services you might like to try.

If it is a special holiday, for example: a birthday, anniversary or honeymoon; please let us know in advance and we will make sure the apartment is kitted out for you.

In the apartment you will find an information pack on the area and "things to do in Les Houches and Chamonix".

Included in the accommodation cost is all bed linen and towels, a welcome pack to get you started and the cleaning of the apartment on your departure.

Extra Services (at additional costs) include:

• Provide us with a shopping list and we can stock your cupboards in preparation for your arrival.

• The option for freshly baked croissants delivered to the door in the mornings.

• Home made evening meals can be prepared in advance for you and left with instructions on reheating and serving.

• Evening babysitting allowing mums and dads a night off.
